Minerva is a larger-fruited shipping type melon that has performed well in Eastern US plantings. On average the fruit weigh 2 to 3 pounds more than Athena and mature 2 to 3 days later. Minerva muskmelon is typically oval in shape and features slight sutures and a coarse open net. This variety has been shown to have a strong, vigorous plant. Resistant to FW (0,1,2) and PM (1,2).
