This award winner is quite a departure for ornamental growers. The corn-like plant
grows attractive deep purple foliage, stems and flower plumes. Each plant produce 1 to 3 main stems on tall
plants with 12 to 14″ plumes, complemented by a few secondary shoots. Under full to partial sun, they produce the deepest purple color with narrower leaves. Less light produce wider and greener leaves. Best suited for 4″ containers and higher, Purple Majesty makes an excellent garden focal point, or can be used in mass plantings.
