Avalon is a larger sized butternut squash that has shown outstanding yield potential, and uniformity for size and shape. The tan colored fruit are produced on strong, full-size vines and average 5″ in diameter x 11″ in length and weigh 4-5 lbs. Avalon squash has a fine grained orange flesh and can be used for fresh market sales, processing or the peeling market.
